Material Tester / NDT Expert (m/f/d)

About the Position
We are looking for a Material Tester / NDT Expert (m/f/d) for next-ray by Oehm & Rehbein.
You will work on digital X-ray systems, accompany customers during commissioning, training, and support, and contribute your experience in non-destructive testing. The location is Rostock, and employment is through Oehm & Rehbein GmbH.
Requirements
- Completed degree in engineering or comparable background
- Experience as a material tester in the field of NDT
- Ideally, knowledge or expertise in X-ray inspection
- Enjoy interacting with customers and conveying technical content
- English skills are desirable
- Enjoy regular exchange with relevant specialist departments
- Proactiveness and enthusiasm for co-design and innovation
- Proficient in Windows environments, network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, Remote Tools)
- Initial experience with DICOM or DICONDE welcome
- Intercultural sensitivity and clear written communication skills
Area of Responsibility
- Support in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software malfunctions on digital X-ray systems, including support of the software suite (acquisition software, PACS/DICONDE integration, cloud archiving)
- Management of repair and RMA processing with the internal repair team and sub-suppliers
- Conducting factory training in Rostock as well as commissioning and training at customer sites worldwide
- Creation and maintenance of operating and maintenance manuals, service documents, and training materials
- Technical contribution to tender responses and RFI/RFQ specifications
- Conducting and supporting non-destructive testing (NDT), especially in the context of material testing
- Support for product demos and presentation of our solutions to customers
- Participation in the further development of our products and processes
- Carrying out external assignments within the agreed scope (travel share approx. 10-20%)
- Customer support and consultation, as well as assistance with technical inquiries
