Material Tester / NDT Expert (m/f/d)

About the Position

We are looking for a Material Tester / NDT Expert (m/f/d) for next-ray by Oehm & Rehbein.
You will work on digital X-ray systems, accompany customers during commissioning, training, and support, and contribute your experience in non-destructive testing. The location is Rostock, and employment is through Oehm & Rehbein GmbH.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in engineering or comparable background
  • Experience as a material tester in the field of NDT
  • Ideally, knowledge or expertise in X-ray inspection
  • Enjoy interacting with customers and conveying technical content
  • English skills are desirable
  • Enjoy regular exchange with relevant specialist departments
  • Proactiveness and enthusiasm for co-design and innovation
  • Proficient in Windows environments, network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, Remote Tools)
  • Initial experience with DICOM or DICONDE welcome
  • Intercultural sensitivity and clear written communication skills

Area of Responsibility

  • Support in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software malfunctions on digital X-ray systems, including support of the software suite (acquisition software, PACS/DICONDE integration, cloud archiving)
  • Management of repair and RMA processing with the internal repair team and sub-suppliers
  • Conducting factory training in Rostock as well as commissioning and training at customer sites worldwide
  • Creation and maintenance of operating and maintenance manuals, service documents, and training materials
  • Technical contribution to tender responses and RFI/RFQ specifications
  • Conducting and supporting non-destructive testing (NDT), especially in the context of material testing
  • Support for product demos and presentation of our solutions to customers
  • Participation in the further development of our products and processes
  • Carrying out external assignments within the agreed scope (travel share approx. 10-20%)
  • Customer support and consultation, as well as assistance with technical inquiries
