Material Engineer with Passion for Administration!

We are now recruiting a combined role as team administrator and material engineer!

Your Role

You will be part of our section Material and Process Engineering that supports all radar product areas within the flying, marine, and land-based domain developed at Saab Surveillance in Gothenburg. The group works with a broad spectrum of materials and processes. Examples of materials and processes we work with include metal, plastic, adhesive, fiber composites, paint systems, rubber packaging, surface treatments, additive manufacturing, pre-treatments, composite manufacturing etc. Important aspects of our products are durability, corrosion resistance, environmental tolerance, heat conduction, and electromagnetic compatibility etc.

Your main tasks will be:

• To be the contact person for incoming work packages
• To administer our backlog (in the Jira system).
• To coordinate what we do with other material departments within Saab
• To contribute to the development of working methods and organization
• To work on task packages that fit your technical profile
• To keep track of work with cost estimates

Your Profile

This job is performed independently, but in a cohesive group. You should therefore be a person who enjoys working in a team that together steers and distributes work within the group and has its own drive and willingness to succeed and take your tasks to goal. You also have very good communication skills on Swedish as well as English, both verbally and in writing.

You have a higher education or civil engineering degree with preferably an emphasis on materials technology. You enjoy managing and organizing and also have a sustainability perspective through your work.

We believe you identify with qualities such as good communication skills, flexibility, and teamwork spirit.

The position requires that you undergo and pass according to current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may in some cases require certain citizenship.
