Material Engineer (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Material Engineer (m/f/d) with immediate effect.

As a Material Engineer, you will not only develop new concrete formulations with partners but also build the material platform for industrial 3D concrete printing.

Tasks

• Development of printable concrete formulations through close cooperation with external concrete manufacturers, admixture and raw material suppliers
• Analysis of material data and derivation of measures to improve print quality, process stability, and material performance
• Scaling of concrete formulations from the laboratory to industrial production with consistent material quality
• Definition of material requirements and technical coordination with admixture, cement, and raw material suppliers
• Support of our printing projects with material technology issues and troubleshooting on construction sites
• Development of quality standards, testing methods, and release processes for fresh and hardened concrete
• Building a scalable material platform for international projects & partners
• Involvement in approvals, standardization, and technical documentation

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Building Material Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent qualification
• Several years of practical experience in the development or optimization of concrete, ideally in the ready-mix concrete or precast concrete sector
• Very well-structured and data-driven way of working
• Very good knowledge of concrete technology, especially fresh concrete properties, rheology, admixtures, and material optimization
• Experience in cooperating with concrete plants or building material manufacturers
• Confident handling of concrete standards and quality requirements
• Enjoyment of systematically solving technical problems and developing new material solutions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to technically lead external partners
• Very good German and English language skills
