Material Area Supervisor

The Material Handling Supervisor is responsible for leading teams of hourly employees, this role directly supports daily production, this individual acts as the centralized resource for the Plant Production Operations Centers, Safety, Quality, Engineering and Production Control Operations team, Ensure correct process in material shipping, receiving, and delivery activities that enable the plant to meet daily production targets and Ensure quality and operation systems are implemented and functioning properly, and also responsible for coordinating with other departments such as Maintenance, Warehouse, and Inventory Management, this role requires strong communication skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, the Material Handling Supervisor will be expected to maintain accurate records of material movements, track inventory levels, and identify opportunities for process improvements, this individual will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including OSHA and ISO 9001, and will work closely with other departments to resolve any issues that may arise during the course of daily operations, the Material Handling Supervisor will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be expected to provide regular updates on production levels, inventory levels, and quality metrics, this role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and 3-5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, the ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, ability to work effectively with people at all levels, and a strong understanding of material handling processes and procedures.
