Job description
We are looking to fill a full-time position with 39 weekly hours in the salary group 9b TVöD (Federal) as soon as possible. The job classification will be based on personal qualifications.
The Marketing and Communications department develops communication and marketing strategies for all offers of the Jewish Museum Berlin – exhibitions, events, educational programs, digital formats etc. – and implements these with suitable instruments and measures. In the context of ongoing digitalization and the increasing importance of Social Media as a communication and marketing tool, it is essential for the Jewish Museum Berlin (JMB) to continuously adapt its Social Media strategy to current trends, technologies, and user habits.
Aufgaben
Marketing / Projektmanagement
- Implementation and steering of marketing strategies to promote the exhibitions, educational offers, events, and special projects of JMB
- Planning and execution of targeted campaigns including media planning, obtaining offers, and researching suitable providers
- Conceptualization and design of advertising materials (print and digital) in collaboration with external agencies and internally in coordination with the responsible departments
- Monitoring, coordination, and steering of projects within budget constraints, as well as controlling and evaluating measures to ensure effective resource utilization
Social Media
- Maintenance and further development of the museum's Social-Media-channels
- Creation and publication of targeted and creative content to promote visibility and reach
- Collaboration in developing and implementing Social-Media-campaigns in line with the overall strategy
- Monitoring and analysis of Social-Media-activities, as well as creating reports for performance optimization
Qualifikation
- A completed university degree (Bachelor/FH-Diplom) in the field of Marketing or Communication, Cultural Management, or a comparable qualification
- Relevant work experience in the field of Marketing and Social Media, ideally in the cultural or museum sector
- Fundamental knowledge of managing and analyzing Social-Media-channels
- Safe handling of common graphic and marketing tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Content-Management-Systems, Social-Media-Management-Tools)
- Very good German and English skills in writing and speaking
- Creativity, linguistic finesse, and a sense for targeted communication
- Interest in conveying Jewish history, culture, and present
