Marketing & Communications Intern

Are you an HBO (University of Applied Sciences) marketing or communications student looking to gain practical experience within an international and innovative engineering firm that contributes to the buildings of the future? At Deerns, you will have the opportunity to work on digital content, campaigns, websites, and internal communications. You will develop valuable skills in marketing technology, content management, and project coordination within an international organization active in nine countries. 

The Challenge 

During your internship, you will support the Marketing & Communications team with various marketing activities. You will work on website management, online campaigns, content migrations, and internal communications. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to gain experience with marketing automation, CMS systems, and international marketing projects. An ideal internship for students who want to discover how marketing and communications contribute to the growth of a multinational corporation. 

What you will do
During your work placement internship, you will engage in a variety of Marketing & Communications tasks. You will provide support, including with: 

Website & Digital Content Support

• Performing quality checks and content reviews for the Deerns website during content migrations. 

• Assisting with content categorization within the CMS. 

• Auditing and improving the categorization of existing web content. 

• Implementing website improvements to support conversion and lead generation. 

Campaign Coordination & Marketing Operations  

• Assisting with campaign planning and managing activities within project management tools. 

• Coordinating translation processes for external newsletters and LinkedIn campaigns. 

• Supporting administrative tasks related to marketing campaigns. 

• Coordinating and implementing multilingual forms within marketing tools. 

• Assisting with the creation of campaign images and visuals in Canva. 

Internal Communications Support

• Preparing and scheduling internal communication messages on the intranet.
  

Internal Communications Support

• Assisting with drafting and finalizing briefs for external copywriters and marketing agencies. 

 
What we ask

• You are pursuing an HBO (University of Applied Sciences) degree in Marketing, Communications, Commercial Economics, International Business, or a similar field. 

• You are available from September 2026 to January 2027 for 32 to 40 hours per week. 

• You are accurate, proactive, and enjoy supporting multiple projects simultaneously. 

• You have an interest in digital marketing, websites, content management, and campaigns. 

• You work in a structured manner and have strong communication skills. 

• You have a good command of both English and Dutch, both written and spoken. Knowledge of other languages is a plus due to our international work environment. 

• Experience with CMS systems, social media tools, Canva, or marketing automation platforms is a plus.
