Market Development Manager - Steel Industry

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Market Development Manager to join their team in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to expand the company's market presence in the steel industry in the region. Responsibilities: * Identify new opportunities that will result in increased stainless steel usage and increased sales * Promote the use of Stainless Steel and its capabilities at exhibitions, expos, marketing media and other relevant platforms. * Conduct market research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, industry associations, and government bodies. * Develop and implement marketing plans and campaigns to generate leads and drive sales. * Collaborate with the sales team to ensure effective lead follow-up and conversion. * Prepare and present reports on market performance, sales results, and marketing campaign effectiveness. * Manage and control the marketing budget to ensure cost-effective strategies are implemented. * Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technical developments, and regulatory changes. * Provide technical support and training to customers as needed. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in market development, sales, or marketing within the steel or related industry. * Proven track record of successfully expanding market presence and driving sales growth. * In-depth knowledge of the steel industry, including market dynamics, customer segments, and competitive landscape. * Strong understanding of stainless steel and its applications. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Willingness to travel as needed.
