Visual Merchandiser

About this role. Working at the heart of a fashion company in full growth, the visual merchandiser will create an environment that will encourage customers to explore their personal style. This person supports and guides the store team to offer an inspiring and passionate customer experience, in line with H&M's brand and values. You will be the driving force behind sales in the store and be responsible for implementing the Visual Identity. The visual merchandiser will respond to customer and colleague expectations at all times, while respecting H&M's procedures and standards.

This role is under the responsibility of the presentation visual manager (depending on volume) or the store director.

Your daily routine.

Sales and profits

The visual merchandiser will set up clothing on the sales floor and in windows, according to the commercial guide. In collaboration with the department manager, the visual merchandiser determines additional commercial opportunities in the store, while respecting H&M's brand guidelines. He/She executes window displays and sales floor layouts based on these common decisions.

Knowledge of fashion

• Maintain awareness of current fashion trends.
• Share, inspire, and train the store team on seasonal trends, upcoming campaigns, and brand standards.

Direct customer service

• Ensure that customer expectations are met in terms of direct service, according to H&M's standards.
• Support the store team to offer an excellent customer experience.

Indirect customer service

• Maintain H&M's visual identity by implementing the commercial guide and ensuring that mannequins in windows and on the sales floor are well-styled.
• Create a clear thread between windows and zone A with suggestions for clothing purchases.
• Ensure daily high-quality presentation of clothing in collaboration with the store team.
• Maintain a clear customer flow thanks to the placement of accessories and navigation according to H&M's standards.
• Launch and maintain all campaigns and commercial activities within deadlines and according to H&M's standards.

Operational commercial routines

• In collaboration with the department manager, follow key performance indicators for the store and take all necessary measures to achieve targets and respect budgets.
• Adapt the store program based on the needs of the store and budget from the commercial plan.
• Complete and track the Best Brand portion of the Customer Experience tool to maximize commercial opportunities.

Presentation visual management routines

• Perform sample collection and execute movements in the store to create clear stories and portable purchase suggestions.
• Perform all morning routines for the sales floor and window displays before store opening.
• Ensure the quantity and condition of all presentation visual accessories and marketing materials received, with a focus on sustainability.
• Maintain organization and security in the visual area.
• Maintain up-to-date information about all presentation visual materials for the store and share it with the entire team regarding seasonal changes.
• Paint and maintain windows if necessary.

People and teams

The visual merchandiser will help the store team to improve customer experience and work in-store through guidance and development. In collaboration with the store management team, he/she will ensure that all legal requirements and H&M's policies are respected.

Training and development

• Evaluate and develop presentation visual and commercial skills for the store team through regular presentation visual training sessions for the entire team, to support clothing presentation according to the commercial guide.
• Maintain an overview, ensure follow-up, and provide feedback during execution of sales floor layouts with the store team.
• Identify future visual merchandisers in preparation for succession.

Communication and legal obligations

• Ensure that all communication in windows and on the sales floor is compliant with local legislation.

Safety

• Work according to H&M's standards and local health and safety legislation to ensure your safety, that of your colleagues, and that of customers at all times.
• FOLLOW ALL PROCEDURES AND ROUTINES RELATING TO SAFETY AND ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSSES IN ALL AREAS OF THE STORE.
