Food Processing Mechanical Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an experienced mechanical maintenance technician to be inserted permanently in a solid and dynamic client company operating in the food processing sector. The selected resource will have the responsibility of ensuring the correct and continuous functioning of production and packaging plants, operating in a context with stringent sanitary regulations. Main activities include: - Diagnostics and Repair: Quick interventions for resolving faults and malfunctions on mechanical, electrical, and electronic components. - Automation and PLC: Programming and management of PLC systems to detect faults and restore plant functionality. - Maintenance: Execution of scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance, with particular attention to sanitation and hygiene procedures. - Sector Norms: Operating in full compliance with workplace safety procedures and HACCP standards. - Technical Documentation: Reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic diagrams. - Collaboration: Initial support from the software engineer for understanding plant management and constant collaboration with the maintenance team. Essential Requirements: - Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, preferably in sectors with high hygiene standards (food processing, pharmaceutical, or chemical). - Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of industrial automation, diagnostics, and PLC programming, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic principles. - Hygiene/Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with sanitary regulations and safety typical of the food processing sector. - Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving orientation, ability to work independently, flexibility, and excellent teamwork attitude. PLUS: Having the ability to use workshop equipment (lathe, drill press, column drill) will be a preferred title. Work Location: Erba (CO) Contract: Direct Employment for an Indeterminate Period (Level and Remuneration commensurate with experience) Schedule: Full-time on two shifts (06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00). Availability requested: Night availability (one week per month, rotating, in the absence of the third shift). Future possibility of introducing a third shift (22:00 – 06:00).
