Job description
POSITION GOAL: Support all manufacturing engineering activities within assigned manufacturing cell(s) including implementing and facilitating lean manufacturing initiatives, implementing ECO’s, assigning inventory locations, conducting contract reviews, creating standard work instructions, evaluating standards and completing capital and facility upgrades ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide manufacturing engineering support and services within assigned manufacturing cell(s). Work effectively as a cell member to achieve manufacturing goals and objectives. Coordinate and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce waste. Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and tools to improve efficiency and productivity. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues. Develop and maintain manufacturing procedures and standards. Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing personnel. Conduct training and coaching to ensure manufacturing personnel are equipped to perform their duties effectively. Evaluate and recommend capital and facility upgrades to support manufacturing operations. Coordinate and facilitate capital and facility upgrade projects. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field. 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes. Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
