Manufacturing Engineer II - Space Systems

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer II - Space Systems to join our team! As a key member of our manufacturing engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing manufacturing processes and procedures for our spacecraft and satellite components. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, while also driving innovation and efficiency in our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, and implement manufacturing processes and procedures for spacecraft and satellite components. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the product development lifecycle. • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes and procedures. • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions. • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies. • Work closely with quality assurance team to ensure that all manufactured products meet the required specifications and standards. • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency in manufacturing operations. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field. • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry. • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including design for manufacturability and lean manufacturing principles. • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor. • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP or Oracle. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
