Performs standard manufacturing engineering assignments, usually a significant portion of a larger project. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes recommendations.
Job description
- Take part in launching, implementing and coordinating engineering projects
- Coordinate specific engineering processes within the assigned project
- Manage PFMEA and Process Flow documentation
- Prepare technical specifications for required equipment, in compliance with current procedures and customer requirements
- Perform capacity calculations and ensure alignment with production needs
- Identify technical engineering solutions for project improvements
- Coordinate QAD system changes (BOM's, routings, etc.)
- Administer change management processes within the manufacturing flow
- Manage the relationship with headquarters in terms of client requests, engineering design and change management
- Coordinate with design engineering activities in the production plant
- Participate in cross-functional analysis of defect/ equipment/ process; identify technical solutions for diminishing their effect on the production flow (downtime)
- Analyze process-related complaints with the team and implement technical solutions to address them
- Create work instructions for operators and team leaders, and ensure proper training is delivered
- Train team leaders to support their understanding and correct adjustment of the production process
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical profile
- Knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and technical drawing
- 3 years of experience in technical/ engineering field, a background in an automotive environment is a plus
- English knowledge; German knowledge is a plus
- PC advanced knowledge (MS Office, CAD, ERP software)
- Analytical thinking, attention to details and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
