Manufacturing Cost Analyst
Job description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Manufacturing Cost Analyst to support manufacturing finance and operational costing processes within a complex production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of cost-related information, analyzing operational and financial variances, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance cost visibility and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing cost variances and identify root causes
- Monitor and validate production transactions, material consumption, inventory movements, and manufacturing data integrity within ERP systems.
- Review and maintain bill of materials, routings, and production master data to ensure alignment with operational processes.
- Support month-end closing activities related to manufacturing costing and inventory valuation.
- Develop and maintain operational and financial KPI reporting, including efficiency, waste, consumption, and cost performance metrics.
- Partner Manufacturing teams to identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing cost analysis, production control, operations finance, or related roles.
- Experience working with ERP systems (S4 preferred).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and production costing.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting and analytics tools.
