Job Description
As a Managing Principal within Capco France in the Capital Markets domain, you will play a key role in supporting our clients, Investment Banks, Asset Servicers, and Asset Managers, in France and internationally, to contribute to the firm's growth.
In collaboration with other partners in charge of client accounts and our practices, you will be responsible for identifying and transforming new business opportunities with our clients.
In this context, you will also lead the execution of sold projects, which are complex and high-value-added, covering one or more of the following areas:
- Organizational and Operational Transformation: Redefining operating models, organizational structures, and functional architecture for capital markets departments (Front, Middle, Back-office, Risk), deploying optimized processes aligned with market best practices.
- Scoping and Management of Complex Programs: Overseeing, from scoping to implementation, medium-term plans and large-scale transformation projects (e.g., system overhaul, regulatory compliance, reorganization…).
- Support for Regulatory Projects: Assisting clients in complying with major capital markets regulations (MiFID 2, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, PRIIPS, SFTR, FATCA…).
- Finance & Risk Transformation: Overhauling risk control frameworks (market, counterparty, credit, operational), reporting tools and processes, and performance management.
- Implementation of Technologies and Innovations: Designing functional architectures aligned with business strategies, overseeing the implementation of financial software packages (e.g., Murex, Calypso, Simcorp…) and new innovative technologies (AI, process automation, big data, blockchain) to improve market operations performance.
- Data Strategy and Governance: Defining and implementing a data management strategy, supporting data exploitation, confidentiality, and security challenges.
Beyond your interventions and the missions you will oversee, your role will also consist of ensuring:
- Business Development for the firm in the Capital Markets domain: managing direct client relationships or supporting client teams, originating business opportunities, contributing to the transformation of opportunities into concrete engagements.
- Development of our Offers and Services and the growth of the Capital Markets teams: content development, sharing our visions and convictions, developing internal skills (recruitment and training).
Know-How and Soft Skills
The following characteristics are required:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 12/15 years of experience in capital markets, including a minimum of 7/8 years in Consulting.
- Proven experience in managing complex transformation programs and projects, from scoping to leadership, and in business (post-trade management, finance, risk, and compliance) and/or technological missions.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in the strategy of an Investment Bank, its functional architecture, organization, businesses, processes, and challenges.
- Mastery of program/project management methodologies, in V-cycle or agile.
- Knowledge of financial instruments and risk management principles (market, counterparty, and credit).
- Knowledge of market software packages.
- Knowledge of new technologies, market software packages, and Investment Bank IT systems, as well as experience in scoping or executing IT transformation projects in the capital markets domain would be a real asset for this position.
- Soft Skills:
- Proven leadership and ability to manage senior teams.
- Excellent communication skills, strong writing ability.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Analytical mindset and ability to structure approaches and solve complex problems.
- Results-oriented, with a keen sense of the client and their business and technological challenges.
- High degree of autonomy in client relations, business development, mission management, and employee development.
- Appetite for challenging the status quo and ability to adapt to technological changes.
- Education and Languages
- Graduate of a top engineering or business school (Master's degree equivalent).
- Mandatory proficiency in French and English in a professional environment.
- You are comfortable working in an international context.
