Managing Director (m/w/d) Healthcare M&A Mid-Market Investment Bank

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Managing Director (m/w/d) Healthcare M&A for our client, a well-established mid-market investment bank with strong presence in the German-speaking region.

Tasks

• Responsibility for building and leading the healthcare M&A practice in the mid-market segment
• Origination and independent acquisition of new mandates
• Nurturing and expanding a reliable network to entrepreneurs, private equity investors, strategic buyers, and industry experts
• Total responsibility for the structured execution of transactions – from pitch phase to closing
• Fundraising, mentoring, and professional development of deal teams
• Positioning the bank as a relevant advisor in the healthcare sector (e.g., through thought leadership, conference appearances, publications)
• Closely working with international partners on cross-border mandates

Qualification

• Multiple years of experience in M&A or corporate finance with a clear track record in the healthcare sector
• Demonstrable origination strength and reliable mandate responsibility at MD or director level
• Deep understanding of the healthcare value chains (e.g., MedTech, Pharma Services, Healthcare IT, Life Sciences, Healthcare Services)
• Excellent network in the relevant market segment
• High entrepreneurial motivation and strategic thinking
• Leadership skills and experience in building and developing teams
• Fluent German and English language skills
