At ON-POINT Connect, we are looking for a dedicated Managing Consultant/Expert in Banking who not only successfully implements customer projects but also actively leads, develops, and strategically shapes them.

As a Managing Consultant/Expert Banking, you will take on a central role in challenging consulting projects at internationally active financial institutions. You will contribute your professional expertise in banking, lead project teams, manage complex initiatives, and ensure that requirements are transformed into sustainable, future-oriented solutions.

You will be in demand not only for project implementation but also for expanding our customer relationships. You will identify new consulting potentials, support project sourcing, participate in pitches and proposal processes, and actively contribute to the further development of our business areas. In your leadership role, you will take responsibility for project quality, team coordination, internal improvements, and the economic management of your projects.

Tasks

Your Tasks

• Leading and coordinating challenging consulting projects in the banking environment
• Professional leadership and development of project teams
• Analysis of internal banking processes, identification of optimization potentials, and development of tailored solutions
• Responsibility for project planning, quality assurance, and stakeholder management
• Strategic client management as well as building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
• Support in project sourcing, pitches, and proposal processes
• Management of project economic performance, including resource planning, budget control, and profitability
• Active contribution to internal improvements, standards, methods, and best practices
• Contributing your banking expertise to the further development of our consulting portfolio

Qualification

What you bring with you

• Completed studies in economics, business informatics, business law, or a comparable qualification with a focus on Banking & Finance
• At least 5 years of experience in consulting, ideally in the banking or financial services sector
• Deep understanding of internal banking processes, business models, and regulatory requirements in the financial sector
• Experience in leading (sub-)projects and teams
• Ability to structurally analyze complex topics, prepare them understandably, and transform them into implementable solutions
• Entrepreneurial thinking, sense of responsibility, and a clear focus on quality, economic efficiency, and customer benefit
• Experience in business development, project acquisition, and proposal processes is an advantage
• Knowledge of core banking systems such as Avaloq, SAP, Temenos, or comparable platforms is desirable
• Very good German and English language skills, at least C1 level
• High team spirit, flexibility, and willingness to travel within the DACH region
