Task
As a Department Manager at Carrefour Belgium, you run a department in the store. In this role, you report directly to the Store Director. You work on the premises and are responsible for the daily management of your department.
Responsibility Area
The attractive appearance of your product range catches the eye of existing and new customers. You are perfectly aware of their wishes and needs, and you go to great lengths for them. In short, you put the customer at the center of every initiative taken.
As a manager and coach, you lead your colleagues and create a tight team. You motivate and guide them in their professional development. Furthermore, you promote a pleasant and healthy working environment where everyone feels at home.
Commercial thinking and acting is second nature to you. You play well on opportunities that arise. You take well-thought-out decisions based on the results of your department. You think along with the company and take initiatives that contribute to Carrefour of the future.
To manage your department efficiently, you also carry out the corresponding administrative tasks with pleasure. You estimate the correct quantity of products to order and ensure optimal inventory management.
You realize that the dynamics and individuality of the retail sector require flexibility. Variable hour rosters are part of the package. You also work with pleasure on Saturdays, as we then run at full speed.
