Task

As Department Manager at Carrefour Belgium, you manage one or more departments in the store. In this role, you report directly to the Store Director. You work on-site and are responsible for the daily management of your department.

Responsibility Area

• You put the customer at the center of every initiative taken: the attractive appearance of your product range catches the eye of existing and new customers.
• As manager and coach, you guide your employees and create a tight team. You motivate and accompany them in their professional development.
• Commercial thinking and acting is second nature to you. You quickly seize opportunities that arise. You take well-thought-out decisions based on the results of your department. You think along with the company and initiate projects that contribute to Carrefour's future.
• To efficiently manage your department, you carry out the corresponding administrative tasks with pleasure. You estimate the correct quantity of products to order and ensure optimal inventory management.
• You realize that the dynamics and individuality of the retail sector require flexibility. Variable work schedules are part of it. You work on Saturdays, as we then operate at full speed.
• You understand that your positive attitude, engagement, and commitment make you a true ambassador for Carrefour.

Profile

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree and/or relevant experience within the sales/retail sector.
• You have initial experience as shop manager, department manager, or coach.
• You speak Dutch.
• Your main qualities: customer- and result-oriented, determined, planning and organization, flexibility, and analytical ability.
