As Manager of the Internal Prevention Service, you are the key figure for developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating Carrefour Belgique's prevention policy. Your main objective is to improve the well-being of 8,000 employees and minimize risks in terms of safety and health.

You are the main advisor to the direction on prevention matters and ensure the functional direction of an team of 18 prevention advisors. All legal provisions related to internal prevention services and workplace protection apply to this function.

You report to the Director Social Relations within the Human Resources department.

• Plan and policy of strategic prevention: You develop and implement a strategic prevention plan aligned with legal requirements and organizational objectives. You advise the direction and manage the service budget.

• Safe climate and well-being: You develop a policy focused on prevention, protection, well-being, psychological resilience, and agility. You ensure open communication and constructive collaboration with local CPPT (Committees for Prevention and Protection at Work).

• Risk evaluation and management: You organize and coordinate risk analyses, formulate prevention measures, and control their implementation in close collaboration with operational units (business). You investigate workplace accidents to prevent recurrence.

• Absence management: You implement a prevention policy, health programs, workload monitoring, and an E2E (end-to-end) process for reintegration after absence.

• Legislation and compliance: You ensure compliance with safety and health legislation. You maintain your knowledge up to date on legislative changes and structure the expertise center for the organization.

• Stakeholder management & coaching: You develop and maintain durable relationships with internal stakeholders (regional directors, Stores Technical, Immo, Quality) and external stakeholders (external prevention service, labor inspection). You adopt a coaching role towards prevention advisors.

• Études & Expérience:

  • Degree of Masters in a relevant discipline (e.g.: safety sciences, engineering).

  • Complementary training in Prevention Advisor Level 1.

  • Proven experience in a similar function.

  • In-depth knowledge of Belgian legislation on safety, health, and environment.

  • Vast experience in functional team management and collaboration with various stakeholders.

  • Mastery of Dutch and French.
