Heliport Manager Responsible

The MS CURIE Emergency Clinical Hospital is looking for a Heliport Manager Responsible passionate about aviation and logistics to join our dynamic team. If you are an organized, results-oriented person with excellent communication skills, this position might be right for you.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Forms part of the heliport operational staff.

2. Reports to the Hospital Manager/Heliport Administrator.

3. Directly supervises all heliport personnel.

4. Cooperates with other hospital structures involved in the execution of air missions.

5. Organizes and effectively manages heliport activities.

6. Works in shifts.

7. Establishes and maintains conditions for safety, aviation security, regularity, and efficiency of heliport aviation operations, in accordance with applicable national and international aviation regulations.

8. Proposes to the Heliport Administrator the provision of human, material, and financial resources so that the heliport's operation is not affected.

9. Develops, modifies, and applies the Heliport Manual.

10. Implements and applies the Safety Management System.

11. Is responsible for establishing the measures and procedures for applying the Aviation Security Program, as well as for its amendment.

12. Ensures that the heliport's aviation security program is updated, approved by the Heliport Administrator, and authorized by the AACR.

13. Is obliged to internalize and comply with the provisions of the ROF (Internal Regulations), the Internal Regulation, and the job description.

14. Proposes policies regarding the quality of services.

15. Implements the internal quality control system in the areas of safety, aviation security, and fire prevention and fighting.

16. Is responsible for organizing shift work according to current regulations.

17. Is responsible for preparing the heliport staff's work schedule, in accordance with the Labor Code provisions.

18. Is responsible for preparing the monthly timesheet, according to internal regulations and Labor Code provisions.

19. Organizes heliport-specific fire rescue and fighting activities, according to applicable aviation regulations.

20. Is responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health standards, labor discipline, service duties, and other legal provisions during heliport activities.

21. Is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of information, having no right to provide information, copy, or alienate service documents or information to persons other than those authorized by the heliport management.

22. Is responsible for continuously knowing the condition of the heliport, installations, equipment, materials, access and evacuation routes, safety net, gutters, hydrocarbon separator, and ancillary spaces.

23. Proposes the closure and opening of the heliport to the Heliport Administrator.

24. Proposes mandatory and voluntary reporting systems at the heliport level for aviation events, in accordance with the obligations incumbent upon the heliport, according to applicable legislation in force, and ensures the protection of information regarding the identification data of reporters and persons mentioned in the reports.

25. Knows the applicable civil aviation regulations and heliport documents and implements them.

26. Knows the operation and exploitation of all equipment at the heliport.

27. Knows the technical details concerning the aircraft scheduled to land at the heliport.

28. Is responsible for heliport availability.

29. Is responsible for monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of established corrective actions.

30. Is responsible for the existence at the heliport of all equipment and materials required by civil aviation regulations for fire fighting and rescue and as recorded in the Heliport Manual.

31. Is responsible for organizing the maintenance of the equipment at the heliport.

32. Is responsible for the conformity of markings and restrictions regarding the movement of people, signs with information about safety elements to be considered during flight and ground operations, etc.

33. Is responsible for the use of the radio communication station at the heliport.

34. Performs responsibilities in the field of aviation security.

35. Constantly strives to raise the level of technical specialized training necessary for the competent performance of specific activities.

36. Carries out activities in accordance with their training and instructions, so as not to endanger their own person or other persons who may be affected by their actions or omissions during the work process.

37. Internalizes and complies with the provisions of occupational safety and health legislation and the measures for their application.

38. Ensures compliance with labor discipline.

39. Reports events, incidents, attempts, or any other act of illicit intervention to the heliport management.

40. Fulfills duties delegated from the job description of the Heliport Administrator.

41. In the absence of the Heliport Administrator, assumes their duties concerning heliport activities.

42. Appoints a substitute during their absence, via a note approved by the Heliport Administrator.

43. Performs other tasks, according to law and professional training, established by decision of the Heliport Administrator.

Requirements:

  • Higher technical education, specialized courses;
  • Physically and mentally fit for fire prevention and fighting activities;
  • Intermediate computer operation/programming skills;
  • Previous experience in aviation or logistics;
  • Leadership skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Solid knowledge of aviation regulations and standards;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Flexibility and the ability to make quick and effective decisions.
