We are looking for a motivated and engaged person as Manager Public Affairs (m/w/d) with a focus on the FlixTrain railway business, who shapes our team, brings the company to the next level, and has a direct impact on our success.

Paint the world green

• As Manager Public Affairs, you build relationships with government representatives, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders and maintain these to support the growth and expansion of FlixTrain in Germany and Europe.
• You monitor regulatory developments and identify proactively potential challenges and opportunities for FlixTrain.
• You work closely with the FlixTrain business teams to develop and implement strategies to address regulatory challenges and support business growth.
• You represent FlixTrain in relevant industry associations and forums and communicate the visions, goals, and value proposition of FlixTrain to stakeholders.
• You develop and implement advocacy strategies to support the regulatory goals of FlixTrain, including preparing and submitting statements on planned laws and regulations.
• You monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory activities in the transportation sector and inform relevant internal stakeholders regularly about new developments.
• You work with cross-functional teams to ensure that public affairs goals align with business objectives and priorities.

Ready to hop on board

• You have a successfully completed degree in law, politics, or administration or a comparable field with a strong legal background.
• You bring 3-5 years of experience in the field of Public Affairs or Government Relations, ideally in the railway or rail industry.
• You have a very good understanding of German and European railway regulation.
• Fundamental knowledge of German and European legislative and regulatory processes as well as experience in cooperation with government agencies and regulatory authorities complement your profile.
• You are characterized by excellent communication skills – written, oral, and in presentations.
• You work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and maintain an overview even when dealing with multiple parallel tasks.
• You have very good German and English language skills (C1 level) rounding off your profile.
