Job description

At Crisp, we have a mission: to make tastier food accessible to everyone. To achieve this, every link in our operation, from warehouse to doorstep, must seamlessly connect daily. As Manager Operations Planning & Performance, you are the linchpin between what the customer orders and how we logistically make it happen. You will bring all operational links together in one tight, integrated plan and help build a reliable operation that is ready for smart growth.

What you will do

You will own the integrated operational planning. You will translate expected customer demand into concrete capacity on the road (how many delivery drivers do we need per day and per hub?) and determine the short and medium-term planning strategy together with the Operations Manager. You will ensure tight planning between Delivery, Retention, and Warehouse. This way, everyone works from the same basis and your sharp eye will elevate our processes to a higher level.

  • You will lead a team of route planners (working students and starters). Together, you will ensure the most efficient delivery routes daily. Your team will be in direct contact with the delivery hubs, the warehouse, and the growth department to coordinate capacity.

  • You will collaborate closely with teams across the organization, from Tech and Analytics to Recruitment. To know what's happening, you will regularly be found where the action is: at our delivery hubs and in the warehouse.

  • You will manage operational KPIs (such as Drops per Hour and Time per Stop) and oversee key cost lines. Together with the Regional Manager and Business Analyst Delivery, you will continuously optimize our delivery network.

  • You will be ultimately responsible for the line between our warehouse and the hubs. You will maintain contact with truck carriers, manage performance (On Time) and costs (Cost per Drop), and maximize fill rate.

  • You will always look for improvements, keep an eye on market trends and innovations, and actively propose them when you see opportunities. You will identify opportunities in operations, make the impact clear, and lead improvement projects from idea to implementation, for example in the area of service time, automation of planning tasks, or the setup of our network.

  • You will be part of the Delivery team and report to the Head of Delivery.

This is you

  • You have a Bachelor's/Master's work and thinking level and at least 3 years of work experience in operational planning, logistics, or supply chain, preferably in a fast-growing e-commerce or retail environment.

  • You move easily throughout the entire organization, from the floor to management. You actively seek collaboration and effortlessly align different teams. You create buy-in and get people on board with a joint approach, even if you don't have formal authority over them.

  • You are strong with data. You dive into the numbers yourself, build a model or dashboard if necessary, and translate analyses into concrete operational choices. Experience with SQL, BigQuery, and Data Studio is a plus.

  • You look beyond your own scope and oversee the entire chain. You understand how a decision in planning impacts the warehouse, the road, and the customer, and you know how to find the right balance between costs and quality.

  • You are result-oriented and know what it means to take ownership. You enjoy making things easy and concrete. You easily transform complex issues into understandable actions.

  • You keep a cool head when things get exciting. Peaks, unexpected downtime, or last-minute changes won't faze you; you prioritize, replan, and ensure operations keep running.

  • You speak fluent Dutch and English.

What we offer

  • Working at a B Corp certified company, where you get the chance to make your mark on the European food system.

  • 27 vacation days to recover and recharge.

  • An extra day off per year to engage in volunteer work and do something good.

  • Attention to your mental health with online guidance from certified psychologists via OpenUp.

  • A perfect pension for the future via BPFL.

  • Every month, food for thought with workshops and talks via Crisp University.

  • Regular tastings or workshops at the office or at one of our suppliers, to see how our tastiest products are made – and of course, to taste them too.

  • An extensive, organized lunch at the office daily.

  • Enthusiastic, smart colleagues and time to get to know each other during sports, events, and tastings.

  • And... a significant discount on your Crisp groceries, because you want to eat well at home too.
