The Network + Shift Planning FlixTrain team is responsible for planning and controlling the FlixTrain offering. This includes creating train, round-trip, and service plans as well as scheduling personnel under compliance with statutory and operational requirements. The goal is an efficient, stable, and cost-effective rail operation.

Impact on the Organization:
Due to reliable and forward-looking planning, the team significantly contributes to the company's stability, cost efficiency, and quality of the FlixTrain offering and supports the satisfaction of passengers and employees.

Tools, Platforms or Processes:
Specialized rail and planning systems like TPN, FBS, as well as other tools such as IVU or WILSON are used, supplemented by MS Office. Central processes include train and shift planning, route orders, and coordination with infrastructure and service partners.

About the Role

• Responsibility for annual planning of the FlixTrain offering including train, round-trip, and service plans
• Main focus on scheduling personnel for regular and special schedules under compliance with statutory and operational requirements
• Independent creation and adaptation of short-term and long-term train plans
• Coordination and ordering of service facilities as well as station stops in coordination with internal and external partners
• Tight cooperation with rail transport companies, maintenance services, and production planning
• Responsibility for ordering, changing, and canceling routes in collaboration with infrastructure operators
• Analysis of ongoing operations to ensure stability and derive optimization measures

About You:

• Completed studies or training in the field of traffic/transportation or logistics
• First experiences in scheduling and/or operational planning in rail passenger or freight transport
• Familiarity with MS Office, ideally knowledge of TPN, FBS, IVU, WILSON, or comparable planning software
• Technical understanding, entrepreneurial thinking, and the motivation to take on new tasks
• Team-oriented, communication-strong working style in a dynamic environment
• High sense of responsibility and hands-on mentality
• Fluent German skills; additional foreign languages are an asset
