Heliport Operations Manager
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Heliport Operations Manager to join our team. If you have a passion for aviation and are ready to coordinate heliport operations, this position might be right for you.
Responsibilities:
1. Is part of the heliport operational staff.
2. Reports directly to the responsible Manager.
3. Works in shifts.
4. During duty, manages the Rescue and Fire Fighting Service and has two rescue agents reporting to him/her.
5. Is responsible for the development of operational procedures, standards, norms, regulations, and internal instructions, concerning operational safety assurance, which are submitted for review by the responsible Manager and approval by the Heliport Administrator.
6. Ensures and is responsible for the application of domestic and international aviation regulations, corresponding to the assurance of heliport operational safety.
7. Is responsible for the development, compliance, and management of all operational documents to the quality standards required by aviation safety requirements and within the deadlines set by the AACR, for the purpose of maintaining the heliport certification.
8. Is responsible for controlling the movement area and its surrounding environment for operations, for the objectivity and accuracy of findings, and for communicating the identified data to the air operator and authorized entities.
9. Is responsible for the quality and accuracy of information officially communicated by heliport staff, regarding the condition of the movement area, heliport equipment, and the operational status of the heliport.
10. Is responsible for the execution and completion of de-icing activities for the movement area and access/evacuation routes.
11. Fulfills the duties provided for in the heliport's programs, plans, and procedures as they relate to his/her role.
12. Knows the operation and exploitation of all heliport equipment and the fire fighting system.
13. During duty, coordinates operational activities at the heliport and cooperates with the Emergency Department (UPU) and hospital departments regarding aeromedical activities carried out at the heliport.
14. Possesses in-depth knowledge of the requirements of the Quality Management System and the Safety Management System Manual, and how to implement them.
15. Knows the principles and related practices, as well as the detailed manner in which they are applied within the heliport, so as to be capable of establishing, implementing, and promoting the quality policy and ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.
16. Complies with the Heliport Security Program.
17. Participates in training exercises provided for in the Training and Exercises Plan.
18. Constantly strives to improve the level of specialized technical training necessary for the competent performance of specific activities.
19. Carries out his/her work in accordance with his/her training and instructions, so as not to endanger him/herself or others who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions during the work process.
Requirements:
- Higher technical education, specialized courses
- Physically and mentally fit for fire prevention and fighting activities;
- Intermediate computer operation/programming skills;
- Previous experience in aviation or airport operations
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
- Solid knowledge of aviation regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
