About the museum A soon-to-open contemporary art museum in Vadodara, dedicated to preserving and presenting regional, national, and international art through dynamic exhibitions and public programs. The museum will use digital and immersive technologies to enhance visitor experience, extend access, and protect collections. Role summary The Manager — Museum Technologies will lead planning, deployment, and day-to-day operations of all technology systems that support exhibitions, interpretation, conservation, and education. This includes but is not limited to: • Developing and implementing technology strategies for the museum's digital presence, including website, social media, and online platforms. • Collaborating with curators, educators, and other stakeholders to integrate technology into exhibition design and programming. • Overseeing the development and maintenance of databases, collections management systems, and other technical infrastructure. • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices for museum technology. • Providing training and support to staff on technology-related issues. • Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of museum technology and applying this knowledge to improve operations and services. Key responsibilities: • Manage and maintain all technology systems, including hardware, software, and networks. • Develop and implement policies and procedures for technology use and management. • Collaborate with other departments to integrate technology into their work processes. • Provide technical assistance and support to staff and visitors. • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in museum technology. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Museum Studies, Information Technology, or a related field. • Minimum 3 years of experience in museum technology or a related field. • Strong understanding of digital technologies and their applications in museums. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Familiarity with database management systems and collections management software. • Experience with project management and budgeting.
