Job description

What You Can Expect The role is responsible for defining and driving the medical training and education strategy for the entire Southeast Asia region consisting of Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Emerging Markets (currently Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Indonesia but expanding to the Philippines, Myanmar, and Cambodia in the near to medium term). To achieve this, the individual will need to understand and internalize the regional product segment strategies and the individual country segment strategies, and translate these into impactful and innovative educational programs for healthcare professionals. This role will report to the Head of Medical Affairs, APAC. Key responsibilities: * Develop and implement the regional medical education strategy and plan, including the identification of educational needs, development of educational programs, and measurement of program effectiveness. * Lead and manage the medical education team in SEA, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment of medical education activities with overall business objectives. * Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other external stakeholders. * Manage the medical education budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources. * Oversee the development and execution of educational programs, including live events, virtual programs, and digital content. * Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. * Track and analyze the performance of medical education programs and make recommendations for improvement. * Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in medical education. * Provide input into the development of training materials and other resources for healthcare professionals. * Oversee the development and execution of congresses, symposia, advisory boards and other scientific events. * Liaise with local and regional medical associations and societies. * Ensure the development and maintenance of a comprehensive database of healthcare professionals and their educational needs. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a scientific or medical discipline. * At least 8 years of experience in medical education, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. * Proven track record of developing and implementing successful medical education programs. * Strong leadership and management skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Experience working with KOLs and other external stakeholders. * Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines. * Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. * Fluency in a second Southeast Asian language is highly desirable.
