Job Description Unique Job Role (UJR): Manager Material Reporting to (Position): Construction Manager Business Unit: AI Infra Function: AI Infra & Facilities Location: Jamnagar Purpose of the Role To manage the material coordination, inspection, and handling of materials required for the AI/Data Centre project, ensuring timely availability, quality compliance, and optimal utilization of all construction and technical materials. The Material Engineer supports project execution by coordinating with Construction Manager to ensure smooth delivery of the project. Key Responsibilities: • Manage material procurement process from vendors/suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance. • Conduct regular inspections of materials received at site to ensure conformity to specifications and standards. • Coordinate with construction team to ensure optimal utilization of materials, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient use of resources. • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors/suppliers to ensure consistent supply of high-quality materials. • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to material management. • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, logistics) to optimize material flow and minimize delays. • Identify and report any material-related issues or concerns to Construction Manager for prompt resolution. • Maintain accurate records of material transactions, including receipt, storage, and issue of materials. • Ensure all materials are properly stored, handled, and disposed of in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Material Engineer will work closely with the Construction Manager to ensure successful project execution.
