Task

As Department Manager at Carrefour Belgium, you manage one or more departments in the store. In this role, you report directly to the Store Director. You work on the premises and are responsible for the daily management of your department.

Responsibility Area

• You put the customer at the center of every initiative taken: the attractive appearance of your product range jumps out at existing and new customers.
• As manager and coach, you guide your employees and create a tight team. You motivate and guide them in their professional development.
• Commercial thinking and acting is second nature to you. You quickly seize opportunities that arise. You take well-thought-out decisions based on the results of your department. You think along with the company and take initiatives that contribute to Carrefour of the future.
• To efficiently manage your department, you carry out the corresponding administrative tasks with pleasure. You estimate the correct quantity of products to order and ensure optimal inventory management.
• You realize that the dynamics and individuality of the retail sector require flexibility. Variable hour rosters are part of the package. You work on Saturdays, as we then operate at full speed.
• You are aware that the positive attitude, engagement, and commitment you bring make you a true ambassador for Carrefour.

Profile

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree and/or relevant experience within the sales/retail sector.
• You have some experience as a shop manager, department manager, or coach.
• You speak Dutch, a good knowledge of French is a plus.
• Your main qualities: customer- and result-oriented, determined, planning and organization, flexibility, and analytical ability.

• A full-time contract of indefinite duration.
