Manager - Financial Reporting Operations

Job description

Overview Our client is a prominent multinational organization with a significant presence across multiple regions. Renowned for its operational excellence, strong financial governance, and innovative approach to technology and services, the company consistently delivers high-quality outcomes while maintaining strict compliance with global accounting and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Manage outsourced partners and internal teams to ensure timely delivery in line with SLAs and group deadlines.

  • Prepare monthly review decks on key controls for follow-up and action by teams.

  • Monitor accounts receivable, offline revenue booking, and reconciliation processes, ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines.

  • Review debtors aging and coordinate with teams to minimize bad debt exposure.

Reconciliations:

  • Review daily reconciliations to identify exceptions and coordinate with relevant teams to close outstanding items.

  • Train and guide teams and outsourced partners on reconciliation processes for existing and new products.

Policies and Procedures:

  • Update policies and procedures to strengthen the control environment.

  • Support internal and external audits and track implementation of proposed recommendations.

  • Conduct periodic reviews of input reports from the transaction system to detect abnormal trends and ensure timely resolution.

Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICOFR):

  • Audit and test ICOFR controls, reviewing artifacts as an independent reviewer.

  • Continuously update ICOFR controls to enhance the control environment.

Must Have

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required.

  • 2–5 years of experience in finance operations, preferably in financial services, fintech, or startups.

  • Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, accounting, financial reporting, and data analysis.

  • Knowledge of auditing, reconciliation methods, and procedures.

  • Project management experience; SQL or Oracle exposure is advantageous.
