Your role

Our client Enexis is working on one of the biggest challenges of our time: expanding and future-proofing the electricity grid. As Manager Engineering & Realization, you and your management team play a key role in this. You are responsible for the engineering and realization of high-voltage and medium-voltage substations in the North of the Netherlands and ensure that projects are carried out safely, predictably, and according to schedule.

You provide direction for the further growth and development of the organization and the development of your leaders. You steer on safety, quality, capacity, and results, while connecting employees and partners to common goals. By further professionalizing processes, smartly using data, and strengthening collaboration in the chain, you increase Enexis's execution power. This way, you make a direct contribution to the energy transition.

The position

As Manager Engineering and Realization, you will lead 3 managers and indirectly 10 team managers and over 200 colleagues. The HV/MV substations department consists of Realization, Engineering and Projects, and Workforce Management. You are responsible for the development, construction, maintenance, and fault handling of HV/MV substations. You work closely with the Manager E&R South. Furthermore, you ensure the professionalization of relationships with external parties such as TenneT and contractors, and you work intensively with internal departments such as Asset Management, Energy System and Environment, Supply Chain Management, Production, and HSE-Q. You report to the Director HV/MV Substations and participate in the MT HV/MV Substations, contributing to the (medium) long-term strategy and its translation into objectives.

What you bring

• Academic work and thinking level

• More than 10 years of management experience at a comparable level

• Affinity with working in a technical production environment

• Experience in change management and development of a safety culture

• Experience in achieving production targets

• Experience in leadership development of your team

Employment conditions

• Salary between € 7,687 and € 10,918 gross per month (scale 19)

• 70% contribution to your ABP Choice Pension

• Personal budget of 10% and a 13th month of 10.7% of your gross annual salary

The Engineering and Realization department is responsible for the development and expansion of high-voltage and medium-voltage substations, carrying out maintenance on the substations, and resolving faults on the existing network within the service area.
