Heliport Compliance Manager

Our company is looking for a dedicated and experienced Heliport Compliance Manager to join our dynamic team. If you have solid knowledge in the field of compliance and are passionate about the aviation industry, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Main Responsibilities:

1.        Forms part of the heliport operational staff.

2.        Is directly subordinate to the Responsible Manager.

3.        Performs duty in shifts.

4.        During duty, manages the Firefighting and Rescue Service and has two rescue agents subordinate to him.

5.        Is responsible for monitoring the heliport's compliance with the requirements of applicable aviation regulations, in order to maintain the heliport's certification.

6.        Is responsible for establishing and operating a basic structure for monitoring compliance applicable to activities carried out at the heliport.

7.        Is responsible for carrying out appropriate compliance monitoring, which is continuously maintained, reviewed, and improved as needed.

8.        Is responsible for the operation of the feedback system of findings to the Responsible Manager to ensure the effective implementation of necessary corrective actions.

9.        Is responsible for ensuring the independence of compliance monitoring, constantly ensuring that personnel performing compliance audits and follow-up inspections are not responsible for the function or procedure being verified/controlled.

10.    Is responsible for imposing requirements regarding the allocation of appropriate time and resources in relation to the volume and complexity of activities related to compliance management.

11.    Is responsible for monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of established corrective actions.

12.    Is responsible for the periodic analysis of hazards and risk management within the heliport, using pro-active and predictive methods, such as: voluntary reports, feedback from training results, trends from compliance monitoring, inspections, previous reports, etc.

13.    Fulfills the duties specified in the heliport's programs, plans, and procedures in the parts that concern him.

14.    Knows the operation and exploitation of all equipment at the heliport and the fire extinguishing system.

15.    During duty, coordinates operational activities at the heliport and cooperates with the Emergency Department and hospital departments regarding aeromedical activities conducted at the heliport.

16.    Knows, in depth, the requirements of the Quality Management System and the Safety Management System Manual and their implementation.

17.    Knows the relevant principles and practices, as well as the detailed way in which they are applied within the heliport, so as to be able to establish, implement, and promote the quality policy and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

18.    Complies with the Heliport Security Program.

19.    Constantly strives to raise the level of specialized technical training necessary for competent performance of the specific activity.

20.    Carries out his activity, in accordance with his training and instruction, as well as with the instructions received, so as not to expose himself or other persons who may be affected by his actions or omissions during the work process to the risk of accident or occupational disease.

Requirements:

  • Higher technical education, specialized courses.
  • Physically and mentally fit for fire prevention and extinguishing activities.
  • Computer operation/programming knowledge - intermediate level.
  • Previous experience in compliance, preferably in the aviation industry.
  • Solid knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and attention to detail.
