In Germany, there are over 3.3 million multi-family homes – and they are the black hole of the energy transition. 1% solar penetration. 2% smart metering. Little flexibility or intelligent energy management.

At the same time, regulation forces owners to make massive investments: Solar becomes mandatory, smart meters must be rolled out across the country within the next 5 years, heating and mobility electrify themselves. The multi-family home is transformed from a concrete goldmine into an active part of the decentralized energy infrastructure.

What's missing is an integrated system that makes this transformation economically and operationally manageable.

VREY combines certified measurement station operations with its own software and enables property owners to sell their self-generated solar power directly to their tenants – simply and without becoming an energy supplier (§42b EnWG).

This turns regulatory pressure into a profitable and planned opportunity:

Aufgaben

Mission der Rolle

You will work directly with Cedric, our COO & Co-Founder, and further develop the operational foundation of VREY.

Your goal: Translate contracts into scalable reality and form a structured, high-performance operating model from growing complexity.

1. End-to-End Ownership operativer Projekte

• You ensure that operational initiatives & projects are implemented reliably, data-based, and compliant with laws and regulations.
• You take early responsibility for defined areas with clear outcomes.
• You coordinate internal teams and external partners independently.

2. Aufbau & Weiterentwicklung unseres Operating Models

• You develop scalable structures, standards, and decision-making processes for hundreds of projects per year.
• You analyze operational workflows and systematically reduce complexity.
• You work closely with the COO on strategic operations topics.

3. Performance- & Prozessoptimierung

• You track operational KPIs, prepare decision-making grounds for the leadership team, and implement concrete measures.
• You identify bottlenecks and implement sustainable improvements.
• You drive automation and data-based decision-making forward.

Qualifikation

• You have already gained experience in the form of internships in Consulting, VC-backed Start-ups (e.g. Operations or Process Optimization), or in VC.
• You have a completed degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as e.g. economics or business administration.
• You think entrepreneurially, make independent decisions based on data, and set clear priorities with a focus on impact, scalability, and long-term company success.
• You bring an outstanding interest in start-ups, energy, or real estate.
• You are looking for a job that is not 9-to-5, but wants to take responsibility, build structures, and actively shape growth in a fast-paced, founder-like environment.
• You strive to become the best version of yourself and seek environments where you can fully develop your potential.
• You are willing to relocate to Berlin – our office is our home base.
• You speak German and English fluently.
