- Assess risk and design tests of controls and substantive procedures; document findings and recommend pragmatic internal control improvements.
- Manage client relationships and partner with senior stakeholders to resolve technical accounting, reporting and disclosure matters.
- Supervise, mentor and develop audit teams—assign work, review deliverables, provide timely feedback and ensure consistent quality across engagements.
- Oversee engagement budgets, timelines and status reporting; drive efficient use of audit technology and standardized methodologies to improve productivity.
- Contribute to quality-control processes, technical knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives across the assurance practice.
Skills & Qualifications

- CPA/CA designation (or nearing completion) with 5+ years of progressive assurance/audit experience in a public accounting or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP (IFRS and/or ASPE), CAS, and financial reporting requirements for private and/or public entities.
- Proven track record managing multiple engagements, delivering on timelines and maintaining high-quality workpapers and reporting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills—able to mentor staff, interact with clients and present findings to senior management.
- Proficiency with audit tools and advanced Excel; experience with CaseWare or similar audit software preferred.
Preferred
- Experience with SOX/compliance programs, industry specialization (e.g., financial services, manufacturing, not-for-profit), or exposure to data-analytics tools (ACL/IDEA/Python).
- Bilingual English/French capability for servicing clients in multiple provinces.
Benefits & Culture Highlights
- Hybrid work model with flexible scheduling to support work–life balance.
- Competitive compensation, professional development support (CPA funding and training) and clear career progression.
- Collaborative team culture focused on mentorship, technical excellence and continuous improvement.
