Management Accountant - Fixed Term

We’re looking for a commercially astute Management Accountant to join our New Zealand Finance team. This is a key role supporting the achievement of business objectives through high‑quality financial reporting, analysis, and insight across the NZ business.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll work closely with operational and finance stakeholders to deliver accurate accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and drive continuous improvement across financial processes.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

• Deliver timely, accurate monthly management and financial accounts for your portfolio
• Provide financial analysis, insights, and trend reporting to support business decision‑making
• Support and contribute to the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process
• Partner with departments to provide ongoing financial advice and performance improvement recommendations
• Lead and support capital expenditure requests within your portfolio
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations (GST, FBT), and group reporting requirements
• Work with auditors, regulators, and other external stakeholders as required
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness
• Support continuous improvement across people, processes, and systems
• This is a fixed term role for 14 months

You’re a confident finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment and isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo.

• CA qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong analytical and numerical capability with exceptional attention to detail
• Proven experience in management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems knowledge
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
• Experience with budgeting/forecasting tools (Cognos desirable)
• Sound knowledge of NZ financial and tax legislation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive mindset with a passion for process improvement
