Maître D'Hôtel.

Your main mission:
Your main mission is to supervise the dining room and its personnel, ensuring a memorable experience for our clientele.

Your main responsibilities:

Dining room operations management:
  • Be responsible for the smooth operation of the dining room, bars, and banquets. Manage dining room reservations and table plans.
  • Review reservations to ensure that information and requests are accurate.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the dining room and bistro team.
  • Work in collaboration with the kitchen and ensure communication between kitchens and dining room.
  • Support staff, especially during peak periods.
  • Solve problems and write reports, as needed.
  • Manage conflicts, if necessary, and report to the restaurant director.
  • Apply and enforce establishment policies and procedures.

Customer service:
  • Welcoming clients, assigning, and escorting them to their table, if necessary.
  • Delivering menus to clients and ensuring rapid and quality service, if necessary.
  • Apply and enforce establishment policies and procedures.
  • Treat client comments and complaints, and ensure follow-up.
  • Ensure client satisfaction during and after service.
  • Manage conflicts, if necessary, and report to the restaurant director.

Connected tasks:
  • Assist the restaurant director in managing financial and material resources, if necessary.
  • Assist and participate in employee training and work well-being.

Your experiences and strengths:
  • Mastery of the French language and intermediate-level English, as we have an international clientele and you must communicate in English 20% of the time.
  • Be a positive leader, have a good customer approach, courtesy, and teamwork.
  • Possess communication, organization, and planning skills.
  • Mastery of IQWARE and VELOCE systems, an asset.

Your working conditions:
  • Full-time (Variable depending on the season), days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • Salary starting at $23/hour.
  • Schedules on 5 days with two consecutive days off often outside of the weekend.
