When you think dairy, you probably don’t picture world-class engineering, but here in Pokeno, that’s exactly what’s happening. Yashili is now proudly part of a2 Nutritionals NZ Ltd, and the plant is expanding faster than a calf chasing its first bottle. With new lines, growing teams, and plenty of exciting change, we’re on the lookout for multiple Maintenance Technicians to join our herd.

Your mission? Keep our production and utility plants humming. You’ll play a key role in preventative and corrective maintenance, ensuring production never skips a beat and that our high-quality dairy products keep flowing out to customers across New Zealand and the globe.

What You’ll Do

• Keep our production equipment in peak condition through planned and reactive maintenance
• Troubleshoot machinery faults with your sharp technical skills and clear communication
• Share knowledge, contribute ideas, and be part of a team that values continuous improvement
• Pitch in with routine and shutdown maintenance as required
• Work closely with a supportive Services team to keep operations running safely and efficiently
• Complete accurate records and follow clear workflows, because good maintenance starts with good systems

What You’ll Bring

• Electrical qualification (we can support you in obtaining your full EWRB if you hold a limited licence or are working towards it). Dual-qualified Millwrights will really impress us!
• Strong understanding of planning and scheduling processes
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG is a bonus
• A knack for solving problems and explaining things clearly, whether it’s to another tradesperson or a curious operator
• Willingness to learn and a genuine interest in working with automation and modern manufacturing systems
• A positive attitude that thrives in a growing, evolving environment
