Job description
The Maintenance & Process Engineer (Metal Fabrication) supports the component production department and specializes in the associated machines and installations. He/she acts as the first point of contact for technical questions from production, maintenance, and engineering.
Advanced and highly automated CNC machines and industrial robots are used. Metal sheets, coils, and tubes are processed using various punching, laser, bending, and welding technologies. This involves working with different machine controls from leading brands such as Trumpf, Prima Power, Valk Welding, Fanuc, and Pivatic.
The role requires a thorough mastery of fine mechanical adjustments and software-based process parameters. Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical controls of complex machines are familiar territory. Additionally, there is an interest in and/or affinity with robot programming.
The Maintenance & Process Engineer plays a central role between different departments and maintains an overview of technical problems. Priorities are determined in consultation, and a structured approach is used. Proactive communication and goal-oriented collaboration with the internal technical department and external suppliers are maintained to achieve sustainable solutions. He/she is responsible for the technical condition and optimization of the machine park.
Task distribution (average)
- 50% – Support with technical malfunctions
- 25% – CNC and robot programming
- 15% – Quality monitoring
- 10% – Administration and organization
Profile

- You have initial work experience, for example, as a maintenance engineer
