Maintenance Manager - Chemical Manufacturing

Description RPO Recruitment is currently working with a prominent chemical manufacturing company in their search for a skilled Maintenance Manager. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations at the company's manufacturing facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the equipment and facilities, while also driving continuous improvement in maintenance processes. Responsibilities Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Manage and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Oversee all maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs. Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Coordinate with other departments, such as production, to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations. Implement and utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, manage inventory, and analyze maintenance performance. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness. Manage and maintain the spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and ensure proper maintenance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Proven experience in maintenance management within a chemical manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of maintenance technicians. Strong understanding of safety regulations and environmental standards.
