Job description
Job title: Mechanical Fitter (12mos contract)
Location: Colac, VICTORIA
Salary: up to $52/hr + Super + shift loading
Work hours: M-F, 8 hrs/day (weekly rotation)
Day Shift 5am-1pm
Afternoon Shift 1pm-9pm
About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will maintain, repair and install complex manufacturing and packaging equipment across a busy food production facility.

Our client, a well-established Australian food manufacturing company, is seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters to join their team in Colac.

About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will maintain, repair and install complex manufacturing and packaging equipment across a busy food production facility.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, modify and commission machinery (hydraulic/pneumatic)
• Perform welding: Oxy, Arc, TIG
• Complete general engineering maintenance (motors, gearboxes, pumps, pipework, lubrication)
• Read and interpret hydraulic & pneumatic schematics
- Trade Certificate (Fitting & Machining) + relevant post-trade qualifications
• Strong communication, problem-solving and safety focus
