Job title: Mechanical Fitter (12mos contract)

Location: Colac, VICTORIA

Salary: up to $52/hr + Super + shift loading

Work hours: M-F, 8 hrs/day (weekly rotation)
Day Shift 5am-1pm
Afternoon Shift 1pm-9pm

About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will maintain, repair and install complex manufacturing and packaging equipment across a busy food production facility.

Responsibilities:

Install, repair, modify and commission machinery (hydraulic/pneumatic)
• Perform welding: Oxy, Arc, TIG
• Complete general engineering maintenance (motors, gearboxes, pumps, pipework, lubrication)
• Read and interpret hydraulic & pneumatic schematics

Qualifications and Skills

Trade Certificate (Fitting & Machining) + relevant post-trade qualifications
• Strong communication, problem-solving and safety focus
