Job description
The Opportunity: You will play a key role in ensuring the consistent and efficient operation of plant, machinery, buildings, and supporting infrastructure, including wastewater systems. Your expertise will directly support production continuity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the site. This role is suited to a technically strong professional who values precision, safety, and reliability within a premium production environment

Key Responsibilities
- Execute plant start-ups and shut-downs in strict accordance with SOPs and operational manuals
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Deliver structured preventive maintenance across daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
- Maintain all machinery and equipment in optimal, production-ready condition
- Uphold and promote best-practice health and safety standards for all personnel and contractors
- Proactively identify and recommend engineering and process improvements
- Collaborate with site leadership, engineering teams, and trusted external service providers
- Perform additional duties aligned with operational excellence as required
- Ownership of day-to-day plant and machinery performance at the Karaka site
- Prevention-first maintenance philosophy to reduce unplanned stoppages
- Clear, professional reporting to Engineering and Production leadership
- Minimum 2 years’ proven NZ work experience in a maintenance engineering role
- Minimum x2 Contactable professional references
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Undergo a pre-employment Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check
- Valid New Zealand driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and compliance standards
