We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to support a well-established and expanding food production facility in Otahuhu. This hands-on role is key to ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement across the site.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to support a well-established and expanding food production facility in Otahuhu. This hands-on role is key to ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery (e.g., conveyors, pumps, kettles, sealing equipment)
- Support equipment installations and minor fabrication tasks
- Maintain workshop and facility cleanliness and safety
- Assist with general building maintenance
- Communicate effectively with the production team and uphold high food safety standards

- Welding experience with stainless steel
- Ability to read technical machine drawings and SOPs
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
- A good understanding of Health & Safety and compliance standards
- A current Counterbalance & Reach Truck license (or willingness to obtain one)
- Bonus: experience with refrigeration systems or IDDSI framework
