Mainframe Operations Specialist

Scope of Responsibilities Monitoring and maintenance of the mainframe environment. Incident handling and analysis and resolution of production problems. Cooperation with teams responsible for system development and maintenance. Analysis of logs, data, and causes of errors. Utilizing mainframe tools for environment diagnostics and monitoring. Supporting activities related to improving system stability and performance. Participation in improving operational processes and implementing new solutions. Requirements Experience working with COBOL, JCL, DB2 z/OS, CICS, IMS, and VSAM technologies. Knowledge of the TSO/ISPF and SDSF environment. Experience in incident handling and Problem Management. Ability to analytically solve problems. Experience working with OPC/TWS, Abend-AID, or File-AID tools. Teamwork skills and communication with various stakeholders. Readiness to learn new technologies and tools. Nice to have Knowledge of REXX, Python, or Shell. Experience in hybrid environments. Knowledge of Agile or DevOps methodologies. Experience related to integrating mainframe environments with cloud solutions.
