Mainframe Modernization Solutions Architect

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing Job Description Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled Mainframe Modernization Solutions Architect to analyze, design, architect, and implement solutions that support our Customers' Digital Transformation journeys. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for solving complex technical issues, establishing patterns and practices, and setting standards for the modernization of mainframe legacy environments. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and development teams to ensure successful project delivery. You will also stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions. Responsibilities: * Analyze existing mainframe environments to identify areas for modernization. * Design and architect modernization solutions, including application refactoring, rehosting, and re-platforming. * Develop detailed technical specifications and implementation plans. * Lead and guide the implementation of modernization projects. * Collaborate with clients, project managers, and development teams. * Ensure solutions align with business requirements and goals. * Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams. * Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. * Conduct Proof of Concepts and pilot projects. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. * 10+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on mainframe technologies. * Proven experience in mainframe modernization, including application refactoring, rehosting, and re-platforming. * Strong understanding of mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS. * Experience with modernization tools and technologies, such as Micro Focus, Rocket Software, or similar. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
