Job description

Balk Shipyards is a renowned shipyard with a long history in yacht building. For our logistical hub within the organization, we are looking for a Warehouse Worker who ensures structure, overview, and a smooth material flow. A role for someone who shows ownership and loves a well-organized warehouse.

Purpose of the function

You organize, plan, and manage the entire logistical process: from receipt and storage to distribution and issuance of goods and equipment. You ensure that project teams always have the right materials at hand.

What you will do

Preliminary work
  • Plan your work and internal logistics.

  • Prioritize shipments and transports.

Execution
  • Loading and unloading trucks.

  • Checking incoming goods based on delivery notes and ERP information.

  • Administrative processing of materials.

  • Unpacking, checking, sorting, and storing orders.

  • Informing project leaders when project components are available.

  • Caring for optimal storage and routing within the warehouses.

  • Inventory management and signaling shortages.

  • Preparing purchase requests for inventory items.

  • Issuing materials and equipment to project workers.

  • Performing baler work and supporting project teams.

  • Making outgoing goods ready for shipment.

  • Searching, collecting, and preparing project materials according to material lists.

  • Managing and controlling equipment in consultation with the maintenance technician.

  • Registering volatile substances (VOS).

Quality control
  • Optimizing routing and storage options.

  • Maintaining order and cleanliness in all warehouses.

  • Checking returned equipment.

Other tasks
  • Working according to safety, environmental, and Arbo regulations.

  • Acting in accordance with procedures and quality standards.

  • Administrative processing of used components.

  • Registering worked hours.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting and feedback on problems to procurement or management.

  • Maintaining order, cleanliness, and functioning of the warehouse according to guidelines.

  • Correctly keeping track of inventory in the automated system.

Authorizations

  • Contact with suppliers for orders, delivery agreements, and handling small complaints.
