UF- Designs and manufactures portable machine tools with cutting-edge technology, durable, and proven on-site for which digital technology facilitates and streamlines the operation for workers. Detailed job description- Machinist for a machining department based in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, serving the province of Quebec and Ontario.
On a 7/7 or 14/14 work schedule, the technician/machinist will be responsible for:
-Machining using portable machine tools such as, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, and accomplishing tasks of machining on equipment from our client base.
-Machining using a portable grinder and performing repair or refurbishment tasks requiring machining with portable equipment in the workshop and on construction sites.
-Robotic welding in the workshop or on construction sites.
-Maintaining portable machine tools and their work environment.
-Executing various tasks in the workshop using conventional machines.
-Performing various maintenance tasks on vehicles, tooling, and other equipment... as required by the employer.
-Being able to read and understand drawings/plans and technical documents to perform machining and adjustment tasks according to specifications and tolerances required.
-Maintaining and respecting company equipment
-Respecting quality standards of the company
-Working in a team
-Working while respecting occupational health and safety standards and those of the CNESST.
-All other connected tasks
Technical work skills sought (mandatory)
Holding a DEP in machining technology
Experience in portable machining
Experience on a conventional and numerical control lathe
Holding a minimum of 6 years of combined work experience in machining (fabrication and repair) of parts.
Complementary technical work skills sought (asset)
Holding an ASP in numerical control
Formation and experience in welding and/or industrial mechanics
Holding the FMTM card (Module 1,2,3,4,5, and 7) Formation modulaire du travailleur minier.
Personal requirements sought
Able to demonstrate excellent mechanical comprehension, as well as the ability to perform machining tasks for fabrication and repair according to different types of mechanical assembly.
Assiduity and professionalism
Able to develop a sense of initiative and autonomy
Care about working in a safe manner
Able to adapt quickly to different work environments
Good physical condition
Bilingual (asset)
General requirements
Holding a valid Class 5 driver's permit with a clean driving record
Must obtain a general explosives permit
