About the role:

Role: Machinery Technician (Electronic Instrument Trades Worker)

Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000-$85,000 plus superannuation

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical faults in food processing and packaging machineries
• Perform scheduled maintenance to reduce downtime and extend machinery lifespan across the packaging lines.
• Install, reassemble, test and undertake parameter calibration while implementing process improvements to streamline workflow in the packaging facility
• Record and update service and calibration logs
• Explore and integrate new technologies to reduce waste and boost productivity
• Operate machinery safely and train team members on correct procedures and best practices
• Monitor machine performance and product quality to ensure Bera Foods’ premium standards are consistently met
• Ensure that the electricity, machines, fluids and air systems work to set up and keep control systems running smoothly particularly high-speed automated packaging lines, and temperature-controlled environments
• Interpret signals and codes from electronic control systems, translating them into clear information for the team and using radios or intercoms to report issues, monitor equipment and coordinate repairs on the factory floor.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications or at least 3 years relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in the installation, maintenance and repair variety of electronic instrument and control systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair a combination of complex electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery and implement solution in a timely manner
• Have great attention to details and proactive attitude
