Machine Operator

Location: Eastern Creek, NSW
Pay Rate: $39 per hour + OT
Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 2:30pm | Friday 6:00am - 12:00pm
(Saturday work highly likely)

Our client is a leading metal manufacturing and processing business based in Eastern Creek. They operate in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment and are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join their growing team.

This role will see you operating two main production lines - a Slitter Machine and a Shear Line. You'll play a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety in all aspects of coil processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up Slitter Machine for coil processing
• Balance coils using an overhead crane (safety is a high priority)
• Operate Shear Line with various sizes and thicknesses
• Set up blade gaps according to material thickness using a butterfly blade
• Use leveller section (most technical area of the line)
• Perform manual handling - loading/unloading material from the line
• Enter data and numerical values into the system (training provided)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace

• Previous machine operating experience (preferably in metal processing or roll forming)
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to interpret measurements accurately
• LF Forklift Licence highly regarded (approx. 30% forklift work - counterbalance)

• Experience with slitter, shear, or roll forming machinery highly desirable
• Physically fit with a strong focus on safety and teamwork
