Machine Operator

Prepare for Work in 2026!!!

Pay: $25 – $28 + Allowances

Monday – Friday Shifts:

Day: 8am-4pm

Afternoon: 4pm-midnight

Night: midnight-8:00am

Role Summary:

You’ll be responsible for safely operating machinery, maintaining high housekeeping standards, and recording material data. Work in a department that is best suited to your skills, experience and interests. You will have an eye for detail for accurately blending fibre to meet colour and quality standards. On-the-job training is provided, with opportunities for further certification in textile manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery and handle materials safely, including high-density wool bales.
• Measure, record, and label materials accurately while monitoring blend quality.
• Identify and report equipment or fibre issues, and assist with basic maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and refer to manuals for task guidance.

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy skills (preferred)
• Previous machinery operation experience (preferred)
• Effective communication and ability to follow instructions
• Good manual dexterity and nimbleness
• Physically strong and reasonably fit
• Mechanically inclined with good practical skills
• Safety-conscious and aware of workplace hazards
