Our Team:
The Corporate Finance team is responsible for capital structuring and transaction processing in Terra One's entire battery storage portfolio. The scope of activities includes project financing (senior loans, mezzanine), HoldCo financing, M&A, and corporate liquidity. We work end-to-end with the Development, Technology, Trading/Optimization, and Legal departments to transfer projects into bankable assets, structure scalable financing platforms, and support strategic acquisitions.

We are expanding our corporate finance capabilities to support a growing pipeline. We are looking for an M&A Manager – Project Acquisitions (m/f/d) to join our team to focus on the acquisition of project rights for grid-connected battery storage in Germany and selected EU markets. The person will handle share and asset deals across various stages of maturity (early development, pre-RTB, RTB), conduct cross-departmental due diligence (grid, permitting/land, environment, technology), and negotiate final documents.

Your tasks:
- Identification and qualification of potential acquisitions of project rights; maintenance of a stage-oriented, probability-weighted pipeline
- Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders (developers, IPPs, brokers, financial advisors) to unlock exclusive opportunities and accelerate execution
- Evaluation of projects using transaction models and documented assumptions
- Coordination and communication with stakeholders, creation of IC materials and recommendations, briefing of management, coordination with other teams and management of external consultants
- Management of due diligence in the areas of grid, permitting/land, technical concept, environment, and legal titles
- Negotiation of LOIs/Term Sheets, SPAs/Asset Deals, development and co-development/framework agreements; management of conditions and closings
- Standardization of DD checklists, model structures, templates and dashboards

Qualifications:
- 5–8+ years of experience in project M&A / acquisitions in the energy or infrastructure industry (developer/IPP, funds, utilities, consulting)
- Proven track record of closing rights/SPV/platform deals for generation or storage
- Professional German (C1/C2), fluent English
- Familiarity with German law and corporate law (incl. asset/share deals, notarial practice, land/permitting routes, ÜNB/VNB processes)
- Advanced Excel skills (project finance modeling, scenarios, sensitivities) and PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of battery storage specifics (revenue streams, technical characteristics, etc.) is a strong plus
