CIMMYT is looking for dynamic, autonomous, and service-oriented personnel for the position of Coordinator of Drivers for the chapter of operations in the BSD program.
This vacancy will be located at CIMMYT's headquarters in El Batán, Texcoco, Mexico, 45 minutes from Mexico City.
Objective of the Position:
Coordinate, supervise, and optimize the operation of the fleet of transportation, ensuring efficiency in the management of units and drivers. Implement measurement strategies, cost control, and billing, ensuring the fulfillment of operational and administrative objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of at least 10 drivers, ensuring compliance with routes, delivery times, and quality standards in service.
- Implement methodologies for optimizing routes and reducing operational costs.
- Firm adherence to communication mechanisms and constant reporting.
- Apply creative thinking to resolve problems on a daily basis.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the fleet and personnel under your charge.
- Control and report operational expenses, unit maintenance, and customer billing.
- Manage administrative and operational documentation for units and drivers.
- Develop training and continuous learning plans for drivers.
- Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Serve as a liaison between operations and management, providing regular reports and proposing improvements.
- Implement useful tools for controlling units, maintenance, review, cleaning, and personnel management.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Administration, Transportation, or related field (desirable).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in coordinating fleets and operational personnel.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to manage conflicts and foster a productive work environment.
- Bilingual Spanish-English (oral and written).
- Familiarity with technological tools and fleet management systems.
- Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capacity.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and road safety standards.
- Experience working in a multicultural context.
- Management of ERP or TMS (Transportation Management Systems) systems.
- Deseable certification in logistics, transportation, or continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
